Erick Engelke serves as the IT Director (Information Technology) at the University of Waterloo’s Engineering Faculty, a globally renowned engineering school and the largest engineering school in Canada.
He leads a crew of technical staff in Engineering Computing, and provides leadership for other staff distributed across the faculty as the Chair of the Engineering System Administrator’s group (ESAG).
Erick participates in the campus-level CTSC committee, representing the needs of the Faculty of Engineering.
He is also the lead developer of a number of software projects used at UW Engineering.
In his spare time he has authored ten books on networking and programming, and is an avid woodworker and musician.
ESAG is the group of system administrators managing the IT resources of the Faculty of Engineering.
